    Re: Pyramid shore recommendation

I don't know much about fishing conventional tackle from shore. But I sure have been hammering some hogs on fly tackle. Here's just a few from our camp site on the North West...

Re: is this a steelhead or what???

No way that is a brown! I don't know where it was caught but it's definitely a resident rainbow or inland steelhead.

The Outdoorsman brings back some fond memories as a kid. I got my fist pair of moon boots there in the late 70s.

The Tahoe redside shiner are in there but it takes all day to get a hundred minnows or so. 10 years ago it took an hour to have a full trap off any dock. There's still a lot with a ton of crawdads...

    Re: Lake Tahoe 11/9

Yes it is a failure based on my opinion and my 30 years of fishing there. But I live up here and fish that lake 30 to 40 times a year and if I have a big job over there I'll fish that lake at least...

    Re: Lake Tahoe 11/9

I'm all for bringing back the cutts but don't kill the Rainbows and Browns until they're almost non existent. That's what USFW did at Fallen Leaf. They also killed every Mac they could and it made no...

Minnows are usually a no brainer just not Saturday. The AC Plugs were trolled at 3.2. My buddy had some new fandangeled Rapalas type lures that would not work under 3.5

    Lake Tahoe 11/9

My buddy and I met at his boat at 05:00 with a temperature of 24 degrees out. We loaded up and headed out to get our minnow trap set by 05:15. Then we rigged up waiting for the legal start time. We...

The surface temp was 58 degrees. Some parts of the lake have turned over but there's always clean water to be found you just got to put some miles on the boat searching. Or launch at the right beach.

I think the key is to treat it as if you're drop shotting with a hair jig, tube jig, or a swim bait but tie on a p- line lazer minnow on the bottom instead of a weight. I get very few tangles if any...

Not from him or I. We get them shallow it's easier with lighter jigs which are more fun. We both have decenders but have yet to use them at Pryamid but they get a work out rock fishing in the ocean.
