    7 keepers is a decent day. Shakers are always an issue bait fishing, but getting a few legal fish is a good day. Always the chance at a big fish or sturgeon. That's what keeps us coming back.

    lots of small shakers maybe 40. only 7 keepers up to 22". lost a good fish taking line might have been a sturgeon. just pulled line and spit the hook. water was warm 66 degrees. thought it would be a great day just no big fish.fished the usual sardines but this time i also had some tray anchovies left over from a banner halibut day in the bay. these really worked. less messy than the crappy sardines i have and the fish loved them. used the usual crawfish smelly jelly. works with or without it. go get em. any day now.
