Chicken livers work well for bait as do crawdads dead or alive.

Sandy cove is cool but a mad house during the summer and no where to park for night fishing :(

Ahh found it, I have seen that stretch and wondered myself also over by sand cove park crossing the 80 bridge. looks like a great stretch and I never see anyone fishing over there. Looks deep and rock walls so most likely pretty good for cats. been meaning to check it out, just need to find access point. Maybe up north harbor on the right somewhere?

We needed 4+oz last weekend on the Sac river and the 4's wouldn't hold sometimes. Fished the lower Feather Friday night and needed at least 4oz as well.

Striper or Catfish, sardines probably your best choice for bait. Thinking 2 or 3 oz weight for that area off the bank. Sardine oil is always good to use.

    I Street Bridge

I'm thinking about checking out the I st bridge early Monday morning for striper and catfish. Are there any other fish out there? The baits I have are sardines, shad, anchovies, and mackerel. Should I be okay with these baits or should I try something else? I also have a bottle of pro cure sardine oil and some other garlic oil will that work? How many oz sinkers should I use?
