Oh man, I've not caught crappie anywhere since 2 decades ago in Washington State.

I'm pan frying some crappie and trout right now. Sure smells good!

You got a good mess of nice fish to eat. I think I would rather have the crappie then the trout sometimes. But the trout are fun to caught.

    Camanche 3/19

Fished Camanche this morning. Caught a bunch of crappie, but try as we might, only caught 1 trout. The crappy are good size, average over a pound to about a pound and a half.
We tried several lures and all the crappy seem to love Rapalas, the trout came on a Speedy Shiner. Seemed like everyone trout fishing today had about the same luck. All fish caught 1-5 feet deep, 80-200 ft setbacks. Trolled 1.2 - 3.2mph, with most of the fish hitting 2.2-2.7 mph. 3 LDR, several HNS. All in all, a nice day on the water.
