Wow, what a great weekend and great event! Ended up taking 7 vets fishing for the day, 5 retired and 2 currently serving(full boat!). Started off trolling for an hour in front of Markley Cove. Although there was bait, we had no takers. We then took a boat ride out to the big island and got on some bass and bluegill. I really enjoyed their stories and they kept me in stitches all day with their Army vs Marines vs Air Force vs Navy banter( I can't even repeat the CG jokes). I forget sometimes ALL the sacrifices these guys and gals made/make to keep this country safe and great. Thank you Phil, Nate, Bernard, Gary, Tim, Tate, and Steve for your service and letting me hang out with you guys for the day! Really looking forward to the next event. I fished Berryessa monday, Tuesday and today.
The bass bite is on. I'm not a trout, coke guy but did spend about 3 hours Tuesday chasing them for 1 trout. Went back to bass.
For the 3 days we boated atleast 20, 30 bass a day. And some bonus crappie and bluegill

    Fishing Berryessa with Vets?

I volunteered to take 4-5 Vets fishing on Saturday at Lake Berryessa. Unfortunately I have not had a chance to fish the lake yet this year. Boat is set up to chase anything from Kokes, trout, to crappie. Anybody have any suggestions. We only get to fish with them for about 3-4 hours, so I don't have a lot of time to scout it out. Thanks in advance for any help.
