Drive through about 8" of river flow to launch. Anchor holds good I have an alluminum river anchor. Feather is flowing fast but anchor holds good there also. Just need to find slow water where stripers will feed. Get in close to bank

How is the launch ramp at verona?

How much weight did it take to hold in 23 feet with the high flows?

    Thanks.

One other thing I forgot to mention. Keep hook at very bottom of bait and wrap bait all the way up line. Little piece of bait flopping over makes bait turn in too big of a circle. Hard for fish to catch up to it. Bait should look like a narrow triangle with meaty part covering hook

I use sardines #3 (3 to a pound) if you buy bags theres 3 in a bag. I buy 40lb boxes so I get 3 s. Yes I fillet them and experiment with different scents. With colder water use scent every time you check your bait or use new bait. When water gets over 62 it doesnt seem to mater as much. You can leave your bait ouy longer. Right now if you dont get a bite in 10 minutes I would reel up and put more scent on. I use all kinds of scents my favorite it smelly jelly crawfish.
Gulp works . Any scent is good. Shad works good in the delta. If I troll I use sardine scent or crawfish on my yozuri. Just have to clean it up . Stuff makes a mess on your boat.

Nice fish!!! Thx for the report and advice. Catching them on lures is fun, but not nearly as fun as feeling that heavy solid pull on the Hooksett with bait.
