Last of the season for me. Lower AR, wasn’t expecting a clean fish, but he had that orange roof of the mouth and sure enough, some nice meat. Won’t complain for nearly being December. Been a fun season but back to stripes full time!

Yeah, I was pretty stoked! No pool, but I was fishing some deep sections in the area of 12-13' though. I had been fishing crawlers, different shades and size pink worms, jigs with and without trailers and roe under a float for 2.5 hours or so for nada. I decided to slowly start making my way back to the car to head home. I decided that since none of the usual tactics were working I would throw on my favorite spoon and throw that on the way back down river to move a little faster. I was just about done and hooked up with this guy. I was hoping it was a steelhead, but after a few minutes of barely any acrobatics and the sheer size I figured it was a salmon, or a really big AR Steelhead. Revived him and let him swim away.

    16 pound salmon.jpg
Wednesday, Nov. 1st trolling Sacramento River between Miller and Garcia using Silverton spinners. 16 pound chrome female salmon. 62 degree water and a beautiful day. Old school trolling still works for me at 3.0 gps speed.
