Junction city is usually good, but with the fire they had this year I would probably try higher up. We have had alot of rain so far this year up north. Douglas City to lewiston should be good. Good luck. My friend went out last week on a real rainy day and did good before the river colored up. Dave

Love the Trinity. it's worth it just getting up there, but it's way better when you land some chrome! Nicely done.

Good deal. You had to work hard but it's nice to hold a fish. Buddy and I are starting to talk Trinity and get a trip up there in the next few weeks.
    Thanks for sharing.

    Trinity River

A friend and I were finally able to get everything aligned with work commitments and family to get away for a very quick Steelhead trip.

We headed to the Trinity River this last weekend. Everything was against us...time, low water conditions and not hearing any good reports.

We hit some of our best spots that have held steelhead before. but no one was home. Finally was able to get into a nice wild steelie late in the afternoon on Saturday.

On Sunday we hit some other spots. got into a couple more but they all came unbuttoned after good fights ending in cartwheels and spit hooks.

a quick, short trip but worth the effort for Trinity Chrome!!!
