    12/9 report, first keeper.

Went on a guide trip with Capt Dave of Delta Pro on Sat (my birthday) with a good friend and his two boys looking to get a sturgeon. None of us had ever got a sturgeon before. Launched out of brannon island to a cold foggy morning and headed out.

I don't know exactly the spots we were in. Think the first spot was big cutt, dropped lines in the water with shrimp and eel combo. First action we initially thought was a Sturgeon turned out being a nice bass(maybe 6-7#). Next action was fiends youngest. Hooked into his first ever sturgeon. Unfortunately measured out to 37". Took a pic and back into the water.

After things slowed down Capt Dave picked up and moved out of the cut towards the mothball fleet. We we're a ways away from it but can see in the background.

Had lots if striper bites nipping at the bait. We finally get a sturgeon on. Ripped some line out put up a good fight and get him on board. Measured 42". First keeper sturgeon. High fives all around.

Got another small keeper bass (19").

Things started to slow and we were gonna call it a day. Capt Dave started reeling up one rod at a time instead of all of us reeling in all at once. He has 3 rods in and put away, when the 2nd to last rod goes off. Fish-on. Buddy Fights the sturgeon to the boat, he measured 44". His first ever keeper sturgeon. Perfect ending to a perfect day.

Great times, laughs all day long. A awesome day and a great birthday present for me.

    Thank Capt Dave.
