    +1 for 12# fluoro, I like it because I break off fewer hooks in the net or unhooking fish.

    The majority of my leaders are now 12 lbs. test.

    Adding to Steve's response, if the lure makes its own action, you'll want a lighter line that doesn't impede the natural action of the lure. If you have an actionless lure like a hootchie, you want the dodger action transferred to the lure. Personally, I would not use 20 lbs only because it makes tying the double snells very difficult. I don't think that I could even get 20 lbs. line through the eyes twice to tie the knot.

    Hoochie ,cut plug etc is 20lb flo to large heavy for kokanee?
