Re: Folsom Lake solo trip 1/11/18

thanks for the pic, that one to me looks like one of the eagle lake trout that are planted in folsom, the green ones must be holdover kings, i am using this site for reference on the eagle lake trout, http://stevenojai.tripod.com/elrain.htm I have been fishing Folsom since it is very close to where i live. Nice catch!

The top two aren't planters I don't think. Look like steelhead decendants to me. Just sayin...

A somewhat rare occurrence with my experiences at Folsom. Nice job finding the way to make it happen!

    Wow.
A 5 trout limit is something I haven't seen come out
    of Folsom in along time.
    Good going.
The north arm has always been good to me also,
but never a 5 fish limit.

    Folsom Lake solo trip 1/11/18

Now here's something you don't see everyday. Limits of trout to 20 inches in about three and a half hours at Folsom Lake. Also lost 1 at the net and another about halfway to the boat. Another 3 or 4 short strikes. And throw in 3 spotted bass to boot!!!
Trolling speedy shiners, rapalas and apex between 3 to 3.5 mph. Surface temp 53 degrees.
Launched at Granite Bay at 7:30 and went up the north fork. Fun, busy morning.
