Yea sorry to have to add to the criticism cause I applaud your ambition...but your vid is lacking in content (and excitement) and does not display respect for your 'prized catch'...the vid isn't showing you catching anything extraordinary and your method of release further degrades the quality of your catch

fishmaster, let me make a suggestion, and I mean this honestly to try and help. I have shore fished a lot for trout and macks. IMO, one of the worst things is to bounce a fish over the rocks and drag them onshore. I only did this if I was planning on keeping them. I have tried c&r on fish that looked fine then went belly up about 10 yards off shore. I suggest using a long handled net, to scoop the fish while still a few feet from shore, then bring it in and unhook them while in the net IN THE WATER. Get some waterproof boots or hip waders to wade out a few feet if you need to and are afraid of getting wet. So take some tips from the fly guys, you see them release fish in the water all the time. Besides, these fish are not trophy size by any means, so holding them out of the water is stressing them out. Bass are pretty tough, these fish are not. Just my opinion.

Releasing a fish with your foot is against all catch and release ethics! Moving a small rat Mac with your foot is like getting a swift kick in the a$$!! If you have all those issues maybe you should hire a guide to show you how it's done correctly.

Agree, I clicked on it based on MKE 's post, and yep, he handles macks just like he handles bass.

Same poster got lit up on the bass board for the same poor handling, now he's latched onto the trout board.
