been doing the 'butt thing... but we made a last attempt to get the tail end of this spring run.
my buddy landed this #12 and another short. his first glide fish :)

then we wacked the green backs on some cranks and frogs. that bite went wide open.

Had a fun solo trip on the SJ.
Carlo came through with a blemished sinister 6. Finally popped my sinister cherry. ha! super stoked!
some good SJ early morning TW action.

I was able to get my son, grandson and two great grandsons onboard today for an hour and half troll. Not huge but gr-grandsons were very excited and happy for each one boating a Striper.

    Re: Striper Bragging Thread 2018

Good day today 4/4 and yesterday 4/3 was solid..Getting better each day.
Water is back to the clarity it was a week ago and so are the fish.. Had my dad in town today and was able to get him on some good ones these past 2 days..Started late due to the lack of TW bite from yesterday, so why wake up super early...
Fished the same area of the SJ from 8:30 to 12 on the outgo. Fishing really went wide open about 11:30 when we had to leave. Ended the day with 28 stripes to 13 lbs...lost 2 good DD fish but was able to get one DD fish.. most were in the 3-5 lb range but they were fighting HARD!
Always feels good to have my dad out and on a pretty wide open bite.. water temp. 61.5 deg
Here are a few pics from today and the other day

ah good to know, I should try that stuff at night. yeah, I ran a white 4.8 keitech on the spinnerbait.

Ive never thrown the onimasu but saw some video of it. Kind of a floater, ultra slow sink, right?. Youd probably like the deps 250 with a belly weight shaved down. I have mine tuned to sit just beneath the surface and it produces when topwaters dont get committed on but I need that rate of stall.
