Probably some immature skeins, they're staging but the waters still 6-7* too cold.
Big spots just get fat haha

I started off shore on humps close to deep water then to narrow that down anywhere there was water flowing in from snow melt. With the recent storm there's a ton of runoff coming in. You can actually see the color difference from the mixing. Checked secondary points and the backs of creek mouths and no one home yet.
In the morning I focused on eastern facing slopes since they were warmer(both for me and the fish)

    Bullards 3/5/18

My favorite lake did not disappoint
Cold start, 25* with frost on the dock. Snow on the ridge west of the reservoir.
Basically had the place to myself.
    Surface temp 45.5-50.5
    Fish were concentrated 40-60'
Lots of runoff coming down the water falls

What didn't work- finesse. Not 1 single fish on drop shot, shakey head or Ned.
What worked 4.8 keitech, yamamoto twin tail hula grub, neko rigged senko.

Contrary to the weather and water most of my bites came with quite a bit of action on my baits, ie: double hopping the grub uphill

Caught about 20, some nice ones mixed in
Seems like more barely legal fish this year than last.
