Went out yesterday and today with only 5 shaker stripers between Napa River and SPB for both days. Sturgeon where flying every where today though. A big one damn near came in the boat voluntarily. Through everything but the fuel at them with no bites.

Going out tomorrow out of Loch Lomond. Hopefully the SCA is canceled by morning. Anyone else?

SPB may be fantastic this fall for everything; sturgeon, stripers and shark.
    Nice fish!
I’m not complaining with sharks. They put up a good fight.

Do consider some eel on your next outing as you will get more "mileage" out of your baits. Plus they tend to come back around for another nibble rather than a one and done that can happen with shrimps.

I heard a story, and it may or may not be true, that the whole sturgeon triangle is mainly a made up thing that was started by a certain bait shop that wanted people to think the sturgeon were in the area closest to that shop. Who knows.
Lol I’d believe that story. The marks on the screen sure are convincing of the name though.
We normally do use eel but since my health issues started we’ve eaten all the freezer food. I was forced to buy store cod and hated it. We used shrimp since more creatures seem to enjoy it more than eel. Everything legal is fare game right now.

Yeah. I need to sell some projects to get a newer engine on here. Its a little hard going from a 2015 fully loaded ETec to an older 2 stroke.

Yup. It seems like its idling better now. I put 20 ounces in the tank and theres about a quarter tank of fuel left. Cold starts have definitely gotten easier.
