Dang, I' m about to cancel my halibut trip to to tomales to go up there. I want to catch fish that have fat beer-bellies like me. Those are some well fed fishes.

Awesome report! Thank you very much.

Cool Lake Tahoe Fishing Excellant - Report + Pictures 5/10/2018

Lake Tahoe Fishing Excellent - Report + Pictures 5/10/2018 . The fishing for Mackinaw Lake Trout has improved a lot with the warmer weather and activation of the shore zone environment for the summer . Minnows are now in shallow so Toplineing for Browns and Rainbows is far to very good..depending on the day . The mainstay of the Lake Tahoe Angler is and always will be , are the Mackinaw in the deep cold waters consuming large amounts of shrimp and crawdads in the thermal spring areas on the vast dark bottom of Lake Tahoe . Dodgers and minnows , flashers and minnows , and Flat Fish in chrome or white have been producing steady limits of Lake Trout for us in the 2 to 8 pound range with a larger beasts showing up every 3 trip or so . Work it with Slow trolling and bottom bouncing in 90 , 120, 180, 220, and 250 feet once you see fish on the finder . Kokanee are showing up at 80 to 120 feet range as the sun comes up ....and there are some Large Macks under them hunting and feeding on them at will . So think about working suspended fish as well .The Lake is 5 inch s or so from Full and it should be a Banner year for fishing on Tahoe . The summer hours for Cave Rock Launch and Lake Forrest Boat Launch are now 6 am to 8 pm . Here are the links ...http://tahoeboatinspections.com/ready-to-launch/ and http://parks.nv.gov/parks/lake-tahoe...a-state-park-2 . Here are the pictures as well...... Cheers !
