FisherGirl is out by Elko chasin Elk, I'll be out by Ruth chasing Muley's last week of October. I didnt get tags so I bought a guided trip on a ranch that I've hunted since I was 10. Its still in the original family and they still run cattle on it but nobody hunts for free anymore.

    Re: Quiet deer season

Im praying for some rain in the desert to wet things down a little. We're still in an extremely high fire danger condition here. I've switched around my scopes so I have to check the 30-06, 300 WSM, 270 WSM and 257 WM. All four of those rifles go with me on a hunt and I make my decision based on what I find and where. In reality, the 300 will cover everything but it never hurts to have your backups dialed in and ready.

    Re: Quiet deer season

I'm hoping for a little rain soon. I haven't been able get my rifles checked out because of the fire danger. It's been a bad fire season and just being seen out there could get you charged if a fire starts anywhere near you. I'm just not willing to risk it.

Good to here you got out. I've got tags for White Pine county on private land. It's a 3 day hunt and I'm hoping for a little snow to push the deer down out of the high ground. Hoping for the last week of October.
