    thanks fellas, i think i deleted the other links when i previewed the post. once i get back on my laptop ill add them back in via edit. it's gonna really open up in a week or two up river i think. i may try for salmon before then, but bring on the striper action!

    fall run scouting report

    went out a few times this week into the west delta to do some scouting for the fall run this year and it this is what i found:

    on my first trip, i fished from pittsburg east to the bridge and marked lots of schools hanging out in very deep water, i fished shallow with traps and chatter baits and pulled a few shakers, and then a healthy 29" and a 22". both were very strong and fiesty and had that nice blue hue to them. a few days later, i fished the same stretch of water, and it was a ghost town. i didnt mark many fish, and didnt see much action. maybe this first wave i ran into are starting to make their run up the SJ and Sac, so you guys up river should be seeing them soon if not already. water temps i saw were 67-68F visibility about a foot at best. here are few pics of my scouting mission:
