Yep, small world. Actually live in Pollock Pines near Sly Park, but Placerville is easier to explain. Hope to run into you on the water one of these days.....

    Mokelumne Weekend

Got a few hours in both Saturday and Sunday this weekend below the hatchery. Pretty slim pickings for me. Hooked and lost what fealt like a decent one Saturday (dumped him before I got to see it), and picked up a small 16" wild fish Sunday. He was small but pretty. Got him on a Little Cleo, other was on a glow bug.

Saw a few fish rolling in the flatter water. Haven't figured out how to get at those fish. Anything I tried to drift to them caused them to bolt. Tried swinging a spoon to them, same reaction. I know that small area gets beat up pretty good, so I chaulk it up to pressure, not the possibility I can't fish. Who knows. Both fish that bit (along with every other fish I've gotten over the years there) came from the broken water riffles.

Not much of a report, but it was a nice trip. I like that stretch of water.
