They'll cruise right past you at Pelican while you're standing on the shore. They often school up sort of down by the ramp but you can't fish there. Just south of the ramp from the tufa rocks has been known to be good if your timing is right. They have one thing on their minds and it's not food. However they still eat and the early and late bites are often good. From the shore the black marabou jigs and popcorn beetle imitations have been known to work. If the wind comes up then sometimes a cop car speedy shiner will attract attention if the water gets murky. Silver/chrome backs in the morning and gold towards the evening.

I don't know anything either Don. Just a lurker on this one. I do know not to troll around on the other side of the markers at the nets though. Have heard of a few incidents around that from others at the past fests....Jetspray

    Pyramid Lake 4/3/19

Started fishing at 7am. Quit at 3pm
Caught six cutts, two over 24 and the other four were slot fish.

Started at Pelican for one cutt, then down to the nets for one cutt, then into Windless Bay for four cutts.

Lost five at the side of the boat and several LDRs

All caught with the above spoon

    26

    27

Water temp varied, nets 51*. Pelican 49*

    Troll 2 to 2.5 mph. Mainly 20

Water very dirty at the nets.

Pelican was packed with shore anglers and only a few at the nets
