Re: Found this and because there is bait section

I have two of the original Shimano Triton Plus 6500 Baitrunner Spinning Reels.

They make them in smaller sizes.

They are great in a boat or from the bank especially when using live bait.

As previously stated being able to adjust the drag in the freespool mode is a great feature.

    Yes they have a clicker.

Yes I have an Okuma trio baitfeeder that I use for soaking bait for stripers. I like the fact you can fine tune it for the current or lack there of. After using it for a few years now I really like it and think it's worth every penny.

Found this and because there is bait section

Has anyone used one of those spinning reels with two drags?
They are supposed lightly allow fish to pull line off the reel with the bail closed. Like a baitcaster in free spool with the clicker on. Do they have a clicker? Thinking for Stripers and Cats on the shore.

Seems like a good idea. Maybe? Seems several brands make them with different names for the process.
    Anyone with experience?

You can’t fix stupid, no matter how much duct tape you use!
Doing the best I can with what's left.
