Pop that center cover pad off, you’ll find a nylock nut holding the wheel to a keyed, tapered shaft. If your lucky, the shaft will have 3 slot positions for the key, so moving the key should get you pretty close. Otherwise, you’ll need to “unwind” the steering cable from the helm and re-start the cable with the wheel more accurately aligned with where you want it to end up.

    Looks to be 90° off.

I googled "How to adjust the Steering Wheel on a boat" and got lots of hits. Here's one of many...

Need Advice - Adjusting Steering Wheel

    Hey guys,

Just picked up a boat and the steering wheel is about 180 degrees off. Do you know how to adjust this? I heard there may be a bolt you can take off? Not sure where.

    Thanks
