    Berryessa 9/12

Heard about some big kokes at Berryessa, so gave it a try Thursday morning. Ran out to the main body and saw 2 boats fishing the east side so we started there. Water temp was 79 degrees on the surface. Saw lots of marks on the bottom in 70 to 80 feet of water and they were biting! Kept 10 nice kokes from 16 1/2 to 18 1/2 inches and were done by 9:30. Our best setups were a Vances watermelon dodger followed by a chartreuse/ pink mini hootchie, and a Paulina Peak silver/red dodger followed by an Uncle Larrys pink spinner -- all tipped with plain corn and sprayed with Rooster Tail trout & salmon spray. Never changed outfits because they were working well. Best limit of kokes we have had for a long time.
