Like they said HK, nice fish.
I worked the same area Saturday morning, lot of boats out there.
Our problem may have been too much boat activity, but then again, I did not throw baits.
Mostly trolling and spooning. Fortunately my partner did pull up two small keepers.
Seeing those nice fish you have, has pumped me up to go try some plugging.
I don't think I will try it where the fleet is though.
    Thanks for the report.

These fish were caught where "the fleet" was fishing this weekend. Lots of trollers and bait soakers on the spot but it was the casting that got bit this time.
Sounds promising!! I will be out im the area Wed!

    Not so MIA yesterday.

I burned less than a gallon of fuel for an 8 hour effort. Pretty much stayed on rivers edge all morning for some good action on top and then a few sub-surface bites. Looking more like the Fall we all know and love. The 7" Donkeystick custom topwater bait was on fire yesterday, as it outperformed in both quantity and quality of bites :

    Re: Stripers MIA!!

We had some fun fishing yesterday.

Had some high school buddies come up for a day of fishing. Had a steady pick on school-sized fish and sent them home with a bag of fillets. Launched with a full tank and put 'er back on with a full tank in that we stayed on the west bank pretty much all day. Topwater baits early and then swimbaits and some action on the a-rig. 12-15 bites between us with a 50/50 mix. Was so happy to put them on some fish and talk about the good ol' days....Really enjoyed our time together:

    Re: Stripers MIA!!

Ive been fishing mostly the North Delta with great success. In coming tides seem to be the best for me. Swim baits, swim jigs seem to work. I had the girlfriend out on veterans weekend and she scored big fish about 9lbs nothing verified officially. Live bait is always a great producer for the numbers. Limits for 3 have been the rule in the 4-6 lb class. We have had our share of shakers too. I feel with the weather how its been lately. It hasnt been cool enough to cool the water to have the bait to school up like it had been in years past. My key is if you find the bait you find the fish. Good luck and tight lines to all!
