A flume is a man made water way. Much like a canal. The miners used them to transport water to their diggings and the loggers used them to float the logs down to a mill. If you take the bike trail at Hazel east on the south side of the river you will see one but it is no longer in use.

Fished it years ago when I was a kid. We drifted single Salmon eggs and did quite well. Dont remember how to get to it now.

    Fish Flume North of Sonora

I am going to a camp just twent minutes outside of Sonora, up Pheonix Lake Road. I want to get some fishing in. My buddy says there is a flume that wraps around the mountain and you can fish and catch rainbows.

Any buddy ever heard of this? Also any advice would be great. I am a striper guy never fished Rainbows.

The Camp is called Old Oak Ranch.
