Uncle Rossy Williams
On October 19th, my Uncle Rossy Williams caught this Blue Catfish at San Pablo Dam using a shrimp/worm bait combination. My uncle fought the big fish for 45 mins before landing him. The fish weighted 19 3/4 lbs!

I am submitting my catch from vacation. On 9/28 I caught a 20 lb Salmon, biggest I ever caught. Not to outdo myself on 9/29 I achieved a bigger success fishing the Sac River by the mouth of the American after noon. We made one trip up- nothing. My Dad asked if I wanted to one more, sure I said, so we did, turned around and were just about to pull up and head home when my pole went down and the fight was on. My Dad kept saying pump him, I said he had a mind of his own. Finally after over 20 mins, I landed the biggest fish of my life, a nice clean 39 lb male Salmon... gosh memories for a lifetime... Gelaine Adams
My wife, Gelaine Adams, caught these two stripers, 3 lbs & 3.25 lbs, on 10/14/00, near Green Buoy #9 on the San Joaquin River. It was on the incoming tide using butterflied shad. Also caught five nice catfish. Thanks, Jerry Adams
Jim Tullis, right, and Warren Bretlinger
Jim and I (Mary) were working in Ft. Bragg this last summer and Jim got a chance to go fishing with a friend, Warren Bretlinger. They were only gone for about 2 hrs when they came back with this beautiful 35lb. King Salmon Jim had caught. Boy was I surprised. We hope to go back again next summer and who knows, Maybe Jim can get a bigger fish? Jim & Mary Tullis

Carol
Carole was fishing in Nehalem, Oregon with her husband Robert, her Dad & guide Ken when she caught this 40lber. It made her trip very special. We limited almost all 4 days, caught 12 large salmon and had it all canned & kippered. Out of this world!
Ryan Edgar and sister, Jessica

River Rat in Alaska
This is a picture of my first King salmon, caught in Montana Creek, Alaska. It was 12:20 AM on the 4th of July, 2000 when I hooked up with this beauty! 31 minutes later I had landed a 42 1/2 lb King. The fishing was red-hot, but "total combat fishing mode," fishing elbow to elbow. What made this a truly memorable occasion is that while we were walking back to our truck (a 1/2 mile trek through Mr. Grizzly's kitchen) there were lots of people shooting off sky rockets, buzz bombs, monster fountains, you name it, in all the colors of the rainbow. Almost as if they knew this was my first salmon, and the display was just for me! I can't wait to go back next year and do it again! River Rat
Steve Miller
Here's a salmon I caught under the Knights Landing bridge on 9-16-00, my 3rd of the week. This one is about 17 lbs., early ones were 25 and 15 lbs. Lots of take downs on Silvertron double blade spinners. Thanks for your great publication. Steve Miller, Woodland, Ca.

John Rialon
I fished up at Orleans, CA on the Klamath River last week. I've been fishing up there for 6 years and last week was the best salmon fishing I've had up there. The salmon were averaging 15 to 22 pounds. I was catching them with #15 gold/black Panther Martins. Attached is a photo of Roy Vaughn from Eureka, CA. He caught this 14 pound salmon with a fly rig. This was his first salmon caught on a fly. He did a great job bring the fish in.

For those who want to come up to Orleans they should stay at the U.S. Forestry camp ground called, E Ne Nuck. The camp hosts, John and Darlene Harlan, are the greatest. John is an excellent fisherman and he doesn't mind sharing his fishing tips. He even helps campers to smoke their salmon and will even provide firewood. John Rialon
