We arrived in the sleepy village of Zeballos where we spent a couple of days sea kayaking, exploring some of the many abandoned gold mines and learning about the local floral and fauna. I was really ready to fish after watching the action from the dock and a kayak. Our kayak guide, Christine owner of Zeballos Expeditions actually fishes from the kayak. I can't even imagine trying to keep the boat upright with a 30-pound king on the line.
