LOL! Just read Ain't Scared post - could have saved you some money there bud!

Headed out the gate at 7.30am for flat calm Bay WX for a change! Swells picked up at the SF sea bouy and by the time we hit the NW side of the southern island it was rocking and rolling...

Saturday forecast put it at 3-5' swells, forecast had changed by Sunday and me and my two buddies Nick and Ryan were staggering around the deck in 6-8' swells with a good helping of whitecaps when we arrived. We persisted (that's why you buy a big boat eh?) and had a great, albeit short day.

Hit my usual spot NW of the main island and we had consistent action for 3 limits of good quality reds, blues and olives to 4# withing 2 hours. We hit nine lings in total for a tally of 3 keepers to 30" all on hex bars with mini hoochies on the treble.

Just got done cleaning fish after 2 hours, I have Romanian and Korean neighbours, so as I was cleaning the catch I had hot saki, sashimi red rock (mmm) Korean whole olive rock with spicy sauce and grilled Romanian Lingcod with fresh garlic butter sauce (heavy on the garlic - must be all the vampires *;-))

All in all a great day, no sickness, clear blue skies and good company - rockfishing was off the hook and I saw a total of 4 boats at the islands today.

Will post piccie of me kissing the Blarney Ling at a later point *;D

Tight lines!
