The weather couldn't have been better! Warm with light winds to make it enjoyable.
The fishing was on fire! Warm surface temperatures and tons of bait in the water, so the trout were on a tear to get up out of their comfort zone and start attacking. There were fish at the surface and coming out of the water as they drove the bait up in a feeding frenzy.
Any of the usual ambush areas, points, drop off shelfs and rock faces were good producers. We jigged for most of our fish as it was so calm and the fish were concentrated.
My friend Bill and I got 93 fish to the boat the first day and 70 the second. All fat and strong fighters, Mostly slot fish but 3 were in the 25" class.
There was a 19 lb fish on the board at Suttclife, and two others were brought in over 10 lb.
Looks like it should be a good season.
P.S. The old launch at Suttclife has been cleaned up and is serviceable for most boats to 20' or so.
Good luck!

Wow sounds like a blast! Any word on how the shore anglers fared?

They were at Block House shoulder to shoulder there, can't say about the other areas.
