Just bought a new Lowrance 339C DF iGPS and can't wait to use it. *I'll probably buy the $90 U.S. coast mapping chip, as they threw it in the demo unit at the store and it looked really cool. *Checking currents, waves, tides, all with the click of a button. *Technology is amazing.

Anyone have experience with this unit?

Thanks.

I don't have that particular unit, but I do have the LMS-480 and absolutely love it! Mapping software with great sonar. I have the Navionics Chip too. It runs $199.

Nice unit, I just bought the lms-111, its all ready for lowrances new radar, just plug it in. Fog is a scary thing in the bays in winter. I saw the demo of the current, waves and tides, way cool. Thought mine came with, guess not. The mapping systems that are out today are great. There is no way I am getting lost as long as I have good batteries. Still have a compass though.

Have fun with the new toy, I'll being reading the manual for the next year.

I have it's Eagle twin, and really like it. Nothing's better than being able to enter in the co-ordinates of that "hump" you see on the paper chart, and then being able to just follow the arrow out to it.

I'm running the Lowrance x-25c in the Proline. I had to replace the x-19c which lost moisture integrity and I am very happy with it. It's much brighter, and has been working like a charm for me.

I couldn't see getting the one with the hard drive. History says I'm on these things, and the HD seemed like one more thing for me to destroy.

I'm running the single frequency transducer on it. Wide cone more imporant than depths i can't fish at.

Dang, it won't work with my Mac. Looks cool though.

Oh, and to the person who asked, we paid $649 at Fisherman's Warehouse. Also picked up a nice VHF radio. Still have to get them both installed--anyone know an affordable guy in Sacto?
