the halibut bite is about as slow as the salmon bite at bodega

normally live bait is the best

lots of chovies to be had with little effort

my son and his bud caught a bunch of shiner perch last weekend off the back of the boat at high tide
they are supposed to work well also

drift and bounce the bottom with live bait ot dead
troll slow with a 1 pound ball bouncing the sand on a drop leader of 6-8 inches
some like to run ford fenders or small dodgers in front of live, dead, or even plastic
if the bite ever turns on i have made up some spinner baits i would like to try

good luck
happy hunting
