Seon and I hit Melones again yesterday (2 - 6), we had a fogy drive getting there, cold crisp morning. Splashed the boat around 0700, and of we went. Got our lines rigged and in the water. It wasnít long before Seonís reel starts singing, a hard hit, after a nice little fight Seon boats this green trout

Snapped the picture and back into the water it went. It was a slow day for us. After a few hours and moves to different areaís I finely get one

This oneís not green, kept it. That was about it for the day. We did take a boat ride up the Stanislaus arm of the lake (it goes a long way up the canyon).
All I all, a great relaxing day, with lots of laughs, with a great fishing buddy!
Thanks again Seon!

Thanks for the report! How deep did you catch the green trout?
We are heading up there this Sunday, trout and bass combo.

We were long lining with J-7 Rapala’s , fire tiger did the damage
Also, we did notice that the bass guys were working the shallower points
