Went to Tullock with my son for a morning of fishing. Splashed the boat at 7:10 am and off to the fishing grounds. This is such a sleeper lake, where is somebody?? We went up the river arm until it became to shallow. Bite was slow for us, but we managed 6 fish to the boat with 3 LDR. Caught only one decent size fish and the others lived another day. HERE ARE THE DETAILS: 100'-125' setbacks; trolling pond smelt flies - white 3" grubs - nake crawlers; otw 5'-9'; speed 1.2 - 1.5; scent garlic.

Nice job guys! I fished that lake from the bank for the first time a couple weeks ago. Didn't do great but not skunked either. Love the waterfall pic. Especially since I have never seen up the arm.

I need to try this lake more often but just have to figure out when the best bank times are for holdovers.

Thanks for sharing!

Tulloch is the next closest lake to me, besides Melones. It's the access that makes it a lake that I seldom fish. Poker Flat has the nearest ramp, but the $25 launch keeps me away, and the distance to south shore launching makes Pedro a better choice.

I fished there a couple years ago, was working at a home right on the water down at South shore. My son went with me one day, and had a great time fishing off the home owner's dock. He was catching crappie, and was surprised when he hooked and landed a gorgeous bow that was probably 2.5 to 3 pounds.

I'm sure that lake holds some nice fish, not being planted with Kokes give the shad a chance, which is good for those healthy rainbows.

Great pics and report, of a lake I wish I could fish more
