Collins lake will be your best bet for trout. Take a trip to Johnson's bait and tackle in yuba city or star bait off feather river blvd. Johnson's is larger with rods reels and all and star is a nice little bait shop. Both will put you in some fish. Depending on what else you fish for there are many options

Oroville is a great bass fishery. Definitely better suited by boat, but there are some hawgs out there. Collins is also great for trout.

To make Englebright work well you will need a boat. There are fish in there but not like Collins.

Tried Collins lake today .. Tried a bunch of different power baits and leader depths got SKUNKED! boat guy said they picked up a few trolling real deep.. Everybody I talked to on the bank had no luck.

I wouldn't go until they have freshly stocked it. Unless your trolling. The people at the camp sites said they had been there for two days no fish. We fished the entire dam and didn't produce one bite or fish between 3 people

I was planning on trolling. I've never trolled my boat, so it just might be an experience type day

The lake was due for a stocking this past week.

The lake was due for a stocking this past week.

Fished 5 hrs not even a nibble. And everyone that was camping there said the same . Only guys that had any luck were trolling

These couple days/week after a full moon make it a little tough to trout fish. In my opinion, i think by the end of this week and early next week it should pick up. Hopefully the weather doesn't keep things turned off.

On the water at 7. Pull away from the dock, and head towards the dam. About half way to the dam My son hooks up! A skinny 13" trout. Throw him back, not another bite all day
