Picked up Jetspray at 0645 and arrived at ICR at 0710 and walked down to the NE corner of the dam. Dave and I fished until 1230 and managed 8 trout to the shore all comming on Chart. Gulp. All fish were small bows held over form the DFG stock in the fall. It was cool in the morning but soon warmed up. South winds moderated to glass by noon. It was a good, Good Friday. Thanks for hanging with me Dave. Happy Easter all.

Can't get around the weather and nice days of fishing. Seems strange while there is still snow on the passes. Great days to come, thanks for taking me along Richard........Jetspray

Have you been hearing any reports on the east carson? I'll be up that way in a couple weeks

The E. Carson below Hangmans is open for Catch and release. The main E. Carson opens on April 27. Haven't fished the special regs area yet this year but I understand that there is no snow and there are various hatches going on. The river level is starting to elevate due to runoff. Been thinking of trying up there before the spring flood.

Great job gents! May I suggest getting some of these: Berkley Spiral Rod Holder :: Gear Reviews :: Trek24 (http://trek24.com/review_berkley_spiral_rod_holder.php)

As mentioned by many people, best 5 bucks you will ever spend!

Got them however they don't work all that well at ICR. Way too many rocks. Easy here to use what nature provides.

Thanks! I was thinking of doing the same. I usually fish the section below Hangmans, but not this early.

Look at the one behind my right rear foot, it has a rock on it and you don't have to bury it in the rocks to use it. They sell them at Scheel's in Reno. I have 4 of them as well as the spirals you mentioned........Jetspray

Nice! Never seen those before! Might have to find some around Sac or stop by next time I fish close to Reno. Would be pretty good rod holders for some of the rocky points I fish. Thanks for the info :)

They also make one that hangs on a bucket and another that can hang from a wheelchair. All interesting stuff........Jetspray

Now that's interesting...! Would love to get the bucket ones and purchase one of those tackle buckets. As for the wheelchair.... I hope I won't ever need those in my lifetime... *knock on the wood*
