View Full Version : Shadow Cliffs or Quarry Lakes?

So I have a dilemma. I can either take my fishing pontoon to shadow cliffs in pleasenton or quarry lakes in Fremont. I have an electric motor so either place works for me. Which lake has had a beter bite lately? I think that's going to be the deciding factor. Some help would be appreciated ill be going on Saturday the 6th.

The more info the better. Where are they biting? When are they biting? What are they biting on?

Thanks in advanced,

Cant help you decide which lake but from what I hear at both lakes Green Pumpkin Power Bait is the ticket to full stringers.

Well the trip was cancelled. The tie rod in my dads truck snapped yesterday while on his way home. So I had no way to get out there.

I've heard pretty terrible things about the health of fish in Quarry Lakes. Shadow Cliffs have some beautiful fish as does Lake del Valle, which is a huge boating lake.

I hit Quarry lake yesterday 4/10 around 3pm and hooked 12 trout. Landed 7 and lost 5 on jumps. All fish were in the 1 1/2 - 2 # class and looked clean to me. All on kastmasters and spanned about 3 hours time. All fish were released
