Up at 4:30 and launched from Markely cove at 7:40. Talked to my buddy Rich and he did well out near Ranch House so that's where we started.

We trolled Apex's and Hoochies in pink 15 to 25 ft down. Topliner had a pink Serpent spoon.
8:20 the pink Apex gets slammed. After a battle I bring it in and it is a good size bass. 3lbs+. Not what I was hoping for but it is the largest one I have ever caught. Released it.

Had a couple of good hits on the topliner but they didn't stick around.
10:00 Mike's pole goes off and what do you know...Another fat bass same size as the last one. On the pink Hoochie. Released.

At this point we started to head towards Skiers Cove and before we get very far the Apex pole goes again. This time it felt like a trout and as I get it within a foot of the net it freaked out and shook off.
I was so bummed because it was bigger than either bass we caught. Guessing about 22" long and fat.
Skiers cove was really windy and we only made one pass before jamming back to the dam area.

1:45 I got a 12" trout on the Apex at 55' down.

That was it for the day.
Wind was really whipping by then so it was time to boogie on home.
A few bonus pics for you...

We have been going to Berry for a few months and still have much to learn about this lake.
Might be back at it next weekend.
Til then my fishy friends....

i always enjoy your reports and pics. Thanks for sharing once again. As a relative noob I'm trying to break the code at Berry too and hope to do so this spring/summer chasing kokes and kings. Much to learn...reports like yours and others help me a bunch. We'll figure it out. Thanks again!

p.s. Pic of the truck window made me laugh out loud...never seen that decal before.

Me and my buddy hit Berryessa also today. Got on water @ 8:30 am. Fished near the dam for zero. Trolled north of the dam a ways and got 3 rainbows and a couple of Kokes. Nothing big but got to try my new level-wind reel and lead-core rig. Out one color. Nice day, a little cool and the wind picked up pretty good so we left at about 3pm. 5 to the boat and lost another 4 or 5. Good times!
