Action starting to pick up. A lot of missed strike. Seem like they are picky today. Seen a few angler land at least 3 down from us. Weather is nice under the shade

To recap on our Saturday outting at Bon Tempe.

We arrived at 11 am and left at 6:45 pm. I landed 8. GF landed 1. Her friend didn't get any action . We kept 2 to take home. We had a lot of light tap or hit that wouldn't stick. I'm sure they are small trout.

What worked was pink powereggs. KM caught 2. Orange and green pb were getting nibbles.

It was hot when the shade went away. This time of the year its all about the Shaddyside.

I see a lot of insect in the water, on top of the water, and on logs. Black caddis fly were landing on me. There were stoneflies in the water swimming and hiding under rocks, on logs, etc...There were a ton of blue dragonflies. I didn't bring the flyrod but tried a few flies out with a water bopper but no luck.

Careful out there...this little guy was next to a tree. My GF friend didn't even notice it. She placed her hand a foot away from the guy!!

Cool play by play report Crazy. Great pictures. That looks like a real pretty place. Except I hate rattlesnakes. Glad you got into some action and thanks for posting.

I love snakes, except when they are too close to people. My daughters run though those hills and high grass. So keeping them on the trails...

Also I heard the ticks are out in full force.
