Knew it was going to be a scorcher today so we got there just as the gates opened at 6:30. First boat on the lake. Jammed over to Sandy point and it was wide open for a change. Poles out and right away Mike loses a huge Lassen right at shore. It hit on three chartreuse power eggs.

At least the fish were biting so that was a good sign.
7:25-I catch a 12" dfg on white p eggs and a brown p worm, released.

7:35- Mike gets a 12" clone on Yellow p eggs, released. No pic.
A while goes by with a few misses and then a co-worker of mine Sean and his friend Rocky show up. Right away they start getting into the fish using Green power bait.
We were using it as well but they were just nibbling at it.

The shade started to disappear and there was no place to hide from the sun so we decided to hop back on the boat and give Scow canyon a try. Had a bite or two there. Then we fished near the visitors center for no love at all. We ended up back in Sandy cove where I caught one more 12" right as we were leaving.

The fish seem to be shrinking in size compared to the last couple of months. The water is really warming up so it looks like time to start hitting the higher elevation lakes. Also means it's CAMPING season. OH YEAH! I love that.
So we were off the lake around 12:30. Took a nice nap when we got home in the AC.
We got a week full of 90's coming up and It's not even summer yet.
Here are some pics to enjoy.

It doesn't get any better than that!!!, "Every day fishing can't be deducted from your life!", I try to live by those words!!! I will try Berryessa on Wed, a little cheaper for me to get. Good Luck, Tight Lines to ALL!!
