Chartreuse gulp. What else shall I get to ensure success?

I will post a report when I get back.

Nothing I hate more than a leech.

Thanks for the info.

Forgive my ignorance, but what does ICR stand for?
Sorry, I have nothing to contribute.

Worm threaded and blown up? Gobbed on the hook? Inquiring minds want to know.

Kind of threaded and inflated. I did not actually use a threader but did have a large portion of the tail floating free.

Try a power egg or two and light hook and half of a crawler make sure it floats before casting

I like to thread 2/3 of the offering leaving little for the fish to take w out getting hooked. That's why I usually get em on 1st or second bite

Be interested in hearing. Heading up 88 there was a CDFW stocking truck parked by the side of the road just west of Diamond Valley Road. Had lunch in Markleeville with the wife and stopped briefly at the day use area of ICR. No one fishing there. Saw that there was 5 or so cars across the lake below the outhouse. Lot of cars for this time of the week. Couldn't check it out because my wife doesn't like rough roads in her car. Perhaps a stock?

You guys are badasses. Went out and caught dinner. Bought me and my father licenses and some chartreuse gulp and gulp eggs and worms. Starter with a bright orange and silver Cast Master. Two biggest fish of the day first two casts. Probably four pound range. Let them go although they looked delicious. Nothing for a bit so I switched to an all silver. Got a few 'eh' size trout. Let them go. Got lazy and switched to gulp. They really really like that stuff. Stopped at six. Enough for dinner and fried fillet and egg sammiches in the morning. Couldn't let any go, all of them swallowed it. Couple cutt's the rest rainbows.

We were there two hours or so. Are there any night restrictions on that lake or can it be fished any hour day or night?

Didn't see one leech on them.

By the way, how do you guys retrieve Cast Masters? Quick, slow, while twitching? On a swivel?

Here the catch is. Going to butterfly tomorrow. I was going to fillet them. Too tired to deal with dinner tonight.

Excellent, some for the smoker/BBQ. Just what the DR ordered rest and relaxation. After naptime they should be good to go:goodidea4gq::oregonian_winesmile:chowtime:..... ...Jetspray
