Any suggestions on what to do with shad roe ? I usually throw it away but if anyone knows how to cook it up I would love to learn about any good recipes.

I cook it right in with my shad. It adds some extra flavor. Females with roe taste better than males.

According to my uncle on the East coast the roe is the only part worth eating. He eats it as a breakfast meat, fried.

Never tried it myself.

Do u eat it with any sauce or just like a squeeze of lemon and good to go?

Just cook it in with the fish. It's not like salmon roe that u can fry up with eggs and rice. The eggs are way smaller

salt pepper and lemon. I don't really care much for the texture though, at least ont as a whole skein

stuck a kebab stick through it, garlic salt, pepper, wrap some bacon around it, and bake/grill it...voila'!
