Two hatchery female Kings (14#, 15#) in three hours, 1 HNS, no LDR, 1 SDR. I fished solo and was the first boat to launch at Santa Cruz. I motored out in the dark at 19-22 mph. I trolled trolled all day on my main motor at 2.5-3 mph. Cable baiter with a naked anchovy all day at 60 & 70 OTW. I used both downrigger balls today, 7.5 Kone Zone UV green on my rod downrigger ball, 4 Kone Zone Ghost UV on the non-rod downrigger ball. Anchovy gel on the balls & flashers. 10 setback. I needed bells on my rod tip, again, to detect the hits as I had to pay attention to the water and other boaters in the area. I motored in at 22-23 mph. 4 hours (5:40-9:40), 29 miles. Two locations 36.50.164 121.59.589 300 water and 36.49.664 121.59.352 59.272, 320 water. Water 51.7*, very little debris , no jelly fish. Sunrise 5:54, % moon visible 97%. Santa Cruz tides: L 4.36 -1.2, H 11:12 3.8.All of my action occurred at two times, 6:20 and 8:50. Air 46-62*. Sky clear. Wind 6 mph, wind waves <2, W swell 3-5 @ 15 seconds (very comfortable motoring and trolling). About 20 boats out today. Sounded like a slow day, very little radio traffic, saw one net fly.

Guy, not your normal post. I didn't realize you go after salmon solo like that. Well done!
