My buddy wants me to take him out shark fishing in the bay for his bday. Where should I head with my boat?

I like launching out of Richmond but can go wherever.

All around the bay bridge and you can also set up shop just outside of ATT park in 50-60'. There's some bigger sharks that roam the deep water around Alcatraz in 100+'. If you really want to take a ride you can hit up Candlestick in the southbay and all the way down to the San Mateo bridge.

We fished the Alameda Rock Wall last weekend and caught at least 20 sand sharks in 2 days. Some of them were decent sized. However, they were the only kinds of sharks, no leopards. Maybe the Sand sharks are spawning. We did get 1 halibut and that's what we were looking for.

300' off the end of the rock wall, working 30'-10' of water. Butt was caught in 12' of water. 4oz weight with 6" drop/ 2 1/2' leader with live anchovy and Stinger hook. Good luck!

We also tried Angel island, Alcatraz, Candlestick and Bayfarm with no luck
