Are there any good rockfishing areas around the Bodega Bay area? I am headed that way this Sat. and am curious about any good spots along the coast from Muir Beach north. And is it better to catch the incoming or outgoing tide? Or does it matter?

This spot looks pretty sweet, if you can get down there.

I use www.californiacoastline.org to find new fishing spots all the time. Check it out, its a pretty cool resource...and free.

Foggy, I thought you said Marshall Beach was up by Goat Rock. That place is by Carmet, way south of Bodega.

KCA, how about the Rock Point (Gleason's Beach)/ Duncan's Landing area, does that look good? A few clicks North of the other Carmet pic you showed me.

hey tsl,
that would be pretty cool having you pull up and having a beer
and some BBQ. :)
how ever ive never ever seen anyone or heard of any boat
getting that close to this part of the coast.
now if you're talking *north of us ive seen charter boats
within casting distance from shore :'(
so maybe with all the boats near shore,
i will just put some bait on the end of a stick and poke
around. ::)
i *hear friday was nice for salmon
hope you were out there.................
