So if you are trolling a sinker release with an fbr on the end how long of a leader do you use from the weight to the fbr? Maybe 6ft???

6' is plenty. We use 4' for the guys that are on balls and not DRs

yea 6ft is a good length...just connect the flasher (you can run straight bait if you like) directly to the sinker release and then your FBR to the flasher. some diagrams you see have a line from the release to the flasher, but i feel like this allows everything to get twisted easier

I agree with Reel for most flashers. However some of the bigger ones require a leader from the release or they will hit the ball when they go through the water.

6ft (light) leader with a really good ball bearing swivel in the middle or your line will twist. Flashers only on the stern of the boat if you are on a P- B or you will spend all day tangled with your new friends around you.
