Going to hit Collins tomorrow. Will be stuck on the bank but have high hopes either way.. Any other sniffers going to be there? Plan on getting there around 8 am. Fish it all day. Green explorer with a black dog.

Wish I had the day off or else i'd probably be there. I'll be headed there either Friday night or Saturday morning for the weekend. You going for slabs?

A bit of everything. Lol. Gunna work the trout early the morning think they may be close to shore after the storm. At least that's what I've observed previously at Collins so I'm hopin.

After that do some slab fishin/ bass fishing. Then prolly end out the day working whatever's biting and prolly throw a pole out for cats. Can't wait. Too bad you can't make it down man.

Ok so didn't get here until 0820. Typical marysville with their road construction and detours.. Took a good thirty minutes to get through the 2 mile stretch of town I had to pass through! I hate that hole of a town. Grew up there. Love only 10 minutes away and avoid it as much as possible. Just wanted to let you guys know though. Detours there are horrible right now.

Anyway back to Collins lol

Lines in water at 0840. Started out by dam. Sunny day slight breeze. 70 degree range on surface temp. 4-5 foot vis. Tried power bait and eggs as well as night crawler combos for nothing. Threw some panther Martins along dam. Nothing. Packed up at 0940.

Headed down to bridge near mouth of creek and arrived at 10:00. Caught a few gills. Saw a couple small crappies swim by. Had a hit on the bass gear. No trout biting Here either. Was very disappointed to open my box o worms I purchase on the way down only to find worm soup. Very irritating.! Now I have to run down and get some more.

Here's a pic of one I the gills. Nice ones. Sorry no fishporn but it's all I've landed so far lol

There is progress whether you are going forward or backward! The thing is to move!

Hit a lunch break at 1230. Mm roast beef and Mac salad. Hit the spot! Stopped by markley cove. Soaked some pb and crawlers for nada. Trekked back up to mouth of dry creek. Caught prolly a couple hundred gills while crappie fishin. Only managed one crappie who wasn't four inches if he was lucky. Cute though. Lol. He was schoolin with the gills.

Started on a little hike around 1600. Hiked around dry creek, waded where it got shallow, and started across the other side. Landed about a 3-4 pound lmb on a kvd 1.5 crank bait in sexy shad. Normally cnr my bass but he was hooked pretty good through the gills so I took him home for dinner. :)

Headed up a steep upper trail above the shore to get into a fishy lookin spot. Well the rained must have softened up the bank because next thing I knew I took a step and ground gave out below me. Free falled a GOOD ten feet straight down to rocks below. Tore up my back, hips, arm and head really good. Can barely walk right now not lookin foward to the morning... :( I hit my head on the plummet and must have went out for a second because I don't remember actually hitting the rocks. Split the back of my head open good and cut up my backside And right arm. Real lucky though. Can't believe I didn't break something or die to be honest. One hell of a fall. Managed to walk away with only a few scrapes and bruises. Someone was lookin out for me.

Anyway here's some pics for everyone's enjoyment. Unfortunately never landed the trophy fish I was after but still had a good day minus the disaster at the end
