Looks like a golden shiner, but the head shape baffles me a little...either the head is flat like a guppy or it's due to the angle of the picture.

Lol, the fish was definitely not the first thing I saw in that pic hahah.

+1 for golden shiner. I absolutely love to have a big one of those for live bait when striper fishing. I get them occasionally and they always seem to be the first to get bit. I wish I knew of a baitshop that sold big ones like 5-6" or better. Broadway bait rod and gun has the super jumbos every now and then, but not consistently and even so they're only about 4-5" with usually nothing bigger.

I've refrained from making comments on this thread, that although of a positive nature, would be considered off topic. Welcome to the sniffer though, brit!

Best,

Haha thanks. I almost caught another, but he threw himself off my hook at shore. And the hubby hid the net in the truck bed somewhere with all his chainsaws. D: I thought he night be a but big for the bass here though. :/ I typically catch some live minnows for us, but no luck off shore yet.

He would have been perfect size for a nice hog lmb.

Better yet a striper.

Most definitely! Except it cuts into my beer cozy crochet time. Nothing like a good beer cozy when it gets chilly!

Lol thanks Tyler. I'm a monster too. I'll take a part a chainsaw or transmission for you, but I'm not going to put it back together. :P

Might scare ya too. I've got a nasty habit of convincing people water moccasins aren't water moccasins and trying to catch them. (with a stick to pin their head, of course)
