Kim asked if we could catch dinner for tonight.... I said ok, How about some Trout Nuggets... So off to Lake Camanche... Arrived at 6:30am and head out to the Dam Area... Dropped down three downriggers... 30' - 35' - 40' Wasn't long and Her 35' rod get slammed... She says is still taking line... That's a good thing... After a long battle we put the first fish in the Boat. A nice 4 pounder... Great Start. Then a little later another and another, then a double and then a couple bass... I then said "I want a big fish" Guess what happen, another one the same size as her's... So we both caught a couple of really nice Camanche Rainbows... We ended the day with keep 5 trout for dinner... We had 12 grabs, counting the two bass that were released... All fish were caught on Excel Spoons... Smeared with some Kokanee Feast... The best part of the Day was, Leaving the net at Home... Took all the Salmon stuff out and forgot to put the Kokanee/Trout net back in... Took a few Photo's at the North Shore Store... The Folks said there, No one has brought in a limit of Trout, this late in the year.... Yeah for Us... I will add a few photo's for everyone to Enjoy...

Heading out to the Dam Area...

Nice fillet job. I was surprised to see a lake post in the trout forum. Full tail and you both got some quality fish.

Those are some nice fish and
nice pictues.
Been waiting for the weather to
cool off a bit more so i can fish
Since i use leadcore i figure in
about a month the fish should be
up in the 25 foot range.
Always a pleasure to read your posts

Awesome! I'm getting excited for the late fall winter trout bite since that is when I can get the big bows from shore.

Fished there today, released a bunch of bows to about 4#, they have pods really bad, I guess ok to eat but they sure are ugly.

Dan: The meat is ok to Eat... The Copods only cling onto to scales and skin... They don't burrow into the meat. Just Fillet and remove the skin... The are the best tasting Rainbows around here. They are "Lassen Rainbows" Where is your report and Photo's? Robbie

The pods are ugly! Why do they get them?
