wife cooked the salmon I caught for the first time today, besides the carcase/head stock that went into our fish head soup. Simple butter on a hot pan. Salt and pepper. Skin side down for 4 minutes and flipped for 3 more minutes. I have to say, it was really good.

Any other very simple ways to cook Salmon? Not counting boiling or smoking.

foil + soy sauce(light soy) covered bottom + salmon skin side down + salt + pepper + grated ginger + chopped spring/green onions + table spoon of butter on top = steamed

Swedish peasant style.

Take a boneless fillet, salt and pepper it, then lather up in olive oil or melted butter, salt and pepper again, some fresh dill sprigs on top or a bunch of dried dill sprinkled making a light crust.

Grill until flaky. I like my salmon a bit crispy, so I cook it for a bit longer. Serve with horseradish!

Even though I was processing my buck at like 9PM, I still made a celebratory meal of this.
