What a great day on the water. Sunny, light swell, hardly any wind, porpoises everywhere and fishing hot all around. Soaked 4 pots in 140 feet for 2 limits of quality crab. ( really 3 and a half limits if we had 3 and a half guys). Had the traps baited with a years worth of miscellaneous fishing leftovers from the freezer (sure made the wife happy to see it go) Headed in to the ritz for great bottom fishing with 2 limits of lingcod to 10 lbs, plenty of blacks and blues and a fatty 7 lb vermilion.

gotta say I am a big fan of pulling pots by hand. Makes seeing the bounty come to the surface all the sweeter.

lesson for the day: wear gloves. Stinging Jellyfish are a *****.

Being new to the crab game, what size is generally considered a jumbo?
